Physical Education
Physical Education helps students develop healthy habits they will use for the rest of their lives. Skills such as balance, coordination, motor control, implement manipulation, communication in a group setting, and the ability to step out of one’s comfort zone are all things that are important for one’s development at a young age. Not every child will want to become a pro athlete, or even play sports, but learning these skills carries over to being a productive and positive individual in almost every setting. Physical Education is so much more than playing and shooting basketball. It’s about learning cooperation, teamwork, and learning to be encouraging and kind even when you don’t want to be. At East Hardin, we also work on technology integration during Physical Education class to develop critical thinking, reflecting, and problem-solving skills. The world keeps changing, so why not adapt our PE class to better suit the kids to be successful in some way.
